TOURNAMENT AND TRAVEL DATES <\/strong><\/p>\n

European Championship officially starts Sunday, July 26<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0through Saturday, August 1<\/span>st<\/span><\/sup>. Players must arrive in Poland Saturday, July 18<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0for pre-tournament camp and depart Sunday, August 2<\/span>nd<\/span><\/sup>. Players with jobs must take two full working weeks off based on this schedule. Final roster will be announced mid-March in order to give you ample time to make all necessary arrangements. Players should not book any travel now.<\/span><\/p>\n

TRY-OUT ATTENDANCE FOR IN-COUNTRY PLAYERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

MDNT try-outs will start in October. Any player living in The Netherlands must be present for 6 out of 8 try-outs in order to be eligible for selection.<\/span><\/p>\n

IN COUNTRY TEAM (ICT) SELECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

ICT will be selected in January, 2020 and has no set roster size.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon selection of the ICT, you will need to start fund raising immediately. If an ICT player is not selected for the Euros, he can apply all fundraising earned as credit for future ICT tournaments and MDNT practices.<\/span><\/p>\n

NON-DUTCH RESIDENT PLAYER SELECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

New players interested in MDNT living outside of The Netherlands must come to one try-out weekend of your choosing. You must notify the coaching staff of your intent to try-out and which try-out weekend you\u2019ll attend (mdntlax@gmail.com<\/a>). It\u2019s imperative to check your eligibility <\/a>prior to traveling to\u00a0The Netherlands. You must pay for travel expenses and acknowledge that a spot on the roster is not guaranteed, even after attending try-outs.\u00a0We will make a decision to add you to the roster after: your attendance, the ICT is selected, and all other players are evaluated.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Veteran players living outside of The Netherlands that have recently been on a MDNT tournament team are not required to try-out. You need to notify in writing your interest in joining for the Euros (mdntlax@gmail.com<\/a>).\u00a0Depending on the situation and length of time since you last wore orange, we may require you to travel for try-outs. This will be on a case-by-case basis by the coaching staff. We will make a decision to add you to the MDNT roster after the ICT is selected and all other players are evaluated.<\/span><\/p>\n

FINAL MDNT ROSTER SELECTION<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The final roster will consist of up to 23 of the best players, pulled from the ICT and abroad. The coaching staff will decide on the final roster by early March, 2020. Note that all ICT players and some non-passport holders will need to serve as alternates in case of last minute changes to the original roster.<\/span><\/p>\n

PLAYER FEES FOR THE EUROS<\/strong><\/p>\n

All players must settle payments and fees prior to the start of the tournament. We will do our best to minimize costs, but expect fees to be ~2,500 euros per player (excluding sponsorship). We want to emphasize again that this is a tentative estimation. We will strive to reduce the fees as much as possible through sponsorship and will provide specifics at a later date. For players that consider financing an impediment for joining , please let us know and we\u2019ll explore options with you. We don\u2019t want financing to be a barrier for anyone.<\/span><\/p>\n
